Pentiment is a historical narrative-driven game developed by Obsidian, set in early 16th century Bavaria. The game focuses on character development, stylized art, and choice-driven storytelling. Players take on the role of Andreas Maler, a clever illustrator entangled in a series of murders in the town of Tassing and the nearby Kiersau Abbey over a span of twenty-five years. As Andreas, players must conduct their own investigations to determine the fate of the community, with each decision having lasting consequences and drawing him closer to the heart of a hidden conspiracy.
