War for the Overworld is a modern dungeon management game that invites you to build your own dungeon beneath the overworld. Tired of the repetitive task of defeating evil guys in search of gold and better gear? It's time to switch roles and embrace your inner villain. Under the guidance of the iconic voice of evil, Richard Ridings, you will excavate and construct underground fortresses filled with rooms, traps, and minions of your choosing.
The game offers a rich variety of options within the Veins of Evil, allowing you to select from over sixty rooms, spells, potions, rituals, defenses, and constructs. Use these tools to fend off the heroes of the overworld and show them the consequences of their intrusion.
War for the Overworld features six different game modes, including Campaign, Skirmish, Scenarios, Multiplayer, Survival, and the My Pet Dungeon expansion, which includes a free 2-level demo. Each mode offers a unique way to conquer your enemies and explore what it truly means to be the bad guy.
The game also includes a powerful Map Editor, enabling you to create and share your own maps and campaigns on the Steam Workshop. With scripting support and numerous mutators, you can customize the game to your liking, making the experience as creative as it is evil.
