True Fear Forsaken Souls Part 2 v2.0.12

True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 2 continues the slow-burn, story-driven horror of the original and expands it into a longer, more polished escape-adventure. If you enjoyed Part 1’s atmosphere and puzzle design, this sequel doubles down: bigger environments, twice as many puzzles, and noticeably improved visuals that make the Asylum’s shadows and corners even more unnerving.
You play as Holly Stonehouse, who follows clues from her family’s past to the Dark Falls Asylum - a place that feels lived-in and sinister, especially after dark. The narrative pushes questions about Holly’s mother, a possible sister, and a mysterious figure that has followed Holly since Heather’s house. The story is revealed through hundreds of diary entries, notes, photographs and a string of cutscenes (over ten minutes total), so the game favors investigation and atmosphere over jump-scare theatrics.
Gameplay is classic horror escape/adventure: explore a large open world, collect clues, piece together complex action chains and solve more than 40 puzzles. A map and fast travel make backtracking manageable, and optional collection goals - 14 hidden character figurines, 29 achievements and bonus material - add replay value for completionists. The puzzles range from logic challenges to inventory-based sequences and are often woven into the story, which keeps progress feeling meaningful.
Verdict: Part 2 is a solid follow-up for fans of atmospheric, narrative-focused horror puzzles. It’s longer and more involved than its predecessor, with plenty of content for players who enjoy methodical exploration and piecing together a mystery. Newcomers can try the free demo first, but players who liked the first game or other story-heavy escape adventures will likely find this installment satisfying.
