UnReal World v3.86.1

UnReal World throws you into an iron‑age Far North where a roguelike roleplaying experience meets a detailed survival simulator. The game is open‑ended and slow‑paced: you choose your path - fisherman, solitary hermit, daring explorer, hunter, trapper or trader - and try to thrive in a harsh, realistic wilderness shaped by northern folklore and traditional ways of life.
You start as a member of one of nine cultures and enter a procedurally generated world of forests, mires, mountains and waterways to roam and live from. The simulation focuses on realistic survival and immersion: track and hunt animals, set traps, fish, tan hides, gather berries and herbs, prepare meals, sleep in temporary shelters or build log cabins, trade with villagers, craft tools and weapons, and interact with both human communities and the spirit side of this world.
Key features (rephrased):
- Turn‑based, open ended gameplay that rewards planning and adaptation.
- Procedurally generated landscapes for high replayability.
- No fixed character classes; pick one of nine cultures and improve a wide range of skills.
- Skill‑based systems covering everything from cooking and hideworking to tracking and herblore.
- Detailed terrain and plant life modeled after northern ecosystems.
- A convincing animal world with species‑specific behaviours and ecological relationships.
- Shamanic and supernatural elements woven into the setting.
- Tactical hunting and combat with many weapon and experience‑related factors.
- Injuries are modeled anatomically (bruises, fractures, cuts, tears) and affect your abilities rather than using abstract hit points.
- Crafting and building from traps and tools to shelters and cabins.
- Moddable systems for crafting, construction and flora.
UnReal World is one of the longest‑running roguelikes, first released in 1992 and continuously developed since. The Steam release is an ongoing evolution of the game; the initial launch does not include Steam extras like achievements, trading cards or cloud saves, but those possibilities may be considered later. You can download UnReal World to try it yourself.
