Desperate Place is a sci‑fi base‑building tower defense game set in the year EC3040. While en route to the habitable world KOI‑7711.01, your colony ship is struck by a massive ion wave from a red giant, rupturing the helium‑3 fuel stores and forcing an emergency landing on an uncharted planet. To repair the ship and restore fuel you must scavenge helium‑3 from the surface - but every time you bring resources back, hostile native creatures attack, so you must quickly erect a temporary base and hold them off.

The game emphasizes careful resource management and layout planning. With limited materials you’ll place extraction units, research buildings and defensive installations in the most effective locations. Use terrain, barriers and traps alongside towers to slow and funnel enemies, making the most of scarce supplies.

Combat options include a range of defensive structures - from artillery and laser emplacements to missile launchers - each with distinct ranges and damage types. Arrange your defenses to create overlapping fields of fire, constantly upgrade and adapt as enemy types grow more varied and dangerous over time.

Success depends on strategy and flexibility. Use all tools at your disposal: walls, towers, traps, your own actions and the little robot companion. Weather and changing conditions can disrupt plans, so stay proactive and never get complacent.
