Ink Reverie is a relaxed city-building experience set in a fictional historical world, with hand-drawn visuals inspired by the Tang and Song dynasties. You return to a secluded town from a thousand years past and, acting as its steward, guide villagers to grow a remote settlement into a thriving community through exploration, construction, production, and trade.

Region highlights
- Jiangnan Mountain Village: Start on a small plot of wasteland in a picturesque mountain hamlet known for tea and peach-blossom brew. Establish basic workshops, trade with the nearby market town, and use local specialties to unlock new buildings and wealth.
- Dunhuang and the Western Regions: As a Silk Road trading center, this area emphasizes building relay stations and organizing camel caravans. Choose trade routes east or west to bring back rarer materials and grow your town’s economy.
- Citong Sea Area: Beginning of maritime trade, where you must prepare fleets and merchant ships. Ocean voyages carry risks and rewards; planning resources and fleet composition increases the chances of successful overseas commerce.
- Jincheng (Four Seasons): Seasonal change matters here. Crop planning, storage and timing are critical-focus on harvests and bulk production in autumn and ensure supplies to survive winter’s demands.
- Chang’an: The imperial capital offers market-driven complexity. Buildings fall into categories like scholars, farmers, artisans, and merchants; upgrading and arranging different building types within market districts yields strategic bonuses and unlocks advanced benefits.
