Walking In Build 19141219

Walking In is a quietly captivating exploration game created entirely by a single developer. As their very first project, it offers four distinct levels, each designed to be experienced in about ten minutes. There’s no complex story or combat-just you, silently traversing spaces that range from unsettlingly familiar to intriguingly abstract.

Gameplay
Your only task is to walk through uniquely styled environments in search of the exit to the next stage. Along the way you may stumble upon serene corners that feel inviting enough to call home, or unsettling passages that seem to blur the line between dream and reality. Puzzles are intentionally light and straightforward, so you never get stuck; the emphasis is firmly on atmosphere and discovery.
Visuals and Atmosphere
Each level draws from different sources of inspiration. You’ll recognize echoes of the Backrooms’ endless yellow halls, stark hospital corridors, raw concrete structures reminiscent of brutalist architecture, and even playful "poolcore" elements. The result is a shifting visual palette that keeps every short journey fresh and surprising.
Sound Design
There is none. Walking In is completely silent except for your footsteps and ambient swishes of movement. This absence of music or effects heightens every creak and shadow, making even the simplest hallway feel loaded with possibility.
Looking Ahead
Although there are only four levels right now, the developer promises more diverse environments in future updates. If you’re drawn to minimalist, atmospheric walks and enjoy piecing together mood and setting rather than narrative, Walking In offers a concise, meditative experience worth taking step by step.
