Throughout the house you’ll find small alcoves or "homes" where you can hide safely; while concealed, Klobgniak cannot spot you or force you back to the start. But if you are discovered, you’ll be "Returned" to the beginning, losing all progress. Important items you picked up may reappear in different, randomized spots, and some assemblies require specific tools you’ll need to track down again.

If Klobgniak catches you holding one of his precious trinkets, you’ll suffer a punishment that hampers your movement until you pay a fee-though a clever escape is still possible without handing over any money. Stay silent, stay hidden, and good luck escaping Klobgniak’s eerie domain!
