Godslayer Arena is a roguelike mash-up of autobattler strategy and action-RPG progression. Each run challenges you to draft, position, and synergize spells before unleashing them in fully automatic combat-your only agency lies in build creation. Once the battle begins, victory hinges on the depth and coherence of your setup rather than on twitch reflexes.

- Draft-and-Build System
- Before each fight, visit the spell shop to choose from a rotating pool of spells. Spend gold on new spells, refresh your options, or invest in experience to level up the shop and unlock higher-tier offerings.
- Every spell carries one or more traits. Equipping three unique spells that share a trait upgrades them into more powerful versions, opening up new strategic possibilities.
- Positional Synergies
- Spells fire left to right in your lineup, and neighboring abilities often interact. Place support spells next to projectile casters to boost the number of missiles, or line up area-of-effect enhancers to cover more ground. You’ll juggle modifiers that change mana costs, grant bonus spellpower, enable autocasting or combo chains, and even augment your basic attacks.
- Strategic Depth
- No in-battle control means you must thoroughly understand the interplay between spells, traits, and items. Each run tests your ability to min-max a build, discover unexpected combos, and "break" the game by pushing your damage, defenses, and utility to absurd heights.
- Mastery Cards, Items, and Gems
- Once per run, choose a Mastery Card unique to your class that adds a game-changing spell or effect. Collect rare items that redefine your playstyle and socket gems into your spells for powerful custom modifications.
