ACRES is a minimalist farming simulator where you grow, harvest and sell crops to satisfy a constantly changing market. Your farm’s success depends on choosing the right crops in the right quantities and delivering them before each order expires. As orders age, their value drops, and letting too many lapse will harm your reputation.

Gameplay revolves around a simple but engaging loop:
1. Plow overgrown soil to prepare fertile fields.
2. Plant seeds using precision planters-each crop has its own growth time and requirements.
3. Eliminate weeds and cultivate the ground to give your plants room to thrive.
4. Apply soil amendments-adjust nutrients, pH and moisture-to maintain long-term fertility.
5. Harvest mature crops with specialized harvesters, then automatically fulfill waiting orders.

As you earn money, you can expand your acreage, upgrade manual tools into tractors and implements, and introduce basic automation. Better machinery works faster but costs more per use, so you’ll need to balance efficiency against operating expenses.
