HyperParasite throws you into a grimy, neon-soaked 1980s dystopia as the titular alien menace, dragging bloody tentacles across greasy asphalt in a ruthless bid to snatch up human hosts. You are the HyperParasite—an unapologetic force of chaos—and your goal is simple: hunt down every last body, hijack its abilities, and climb the pop-culture food chain until you can smash the Big Red Button and trigger the ultimate mushroom-cloud finale.

Every foray is a fight for survival. Latch onto a host with your tentacles to gain its unique attacks and traits, but beware—once you die as the parasite, it’s permadeath unless you’ve stashed away upgrades along the way. Keep your feelers alert for power-ups, weapons and augmentations that can tilt the odds in your favor.

There are over 60 playable characters to collect, control and master. Track down each host-class boss, rip out their brain (they won’t be needing it) and haul it back to Wito’s shop. He’ll lock it away in his bizarre machinery until you’ve earned enough hard-won cash to unlock that character for future runs. Got a favorite? Send them to Wito’s storage so they’re waiting when you next spawn.

With five Acts of procedurally generated streets, clubs and alleys to conquer, no two runs ever feel the same. Secrets hide within secrets, and every dark corner might spill out a vicious miniboss or a stash of rare loot. Boss fights deliver punishing challenges, so learn their patterns or they’ll tear you apart.

All this action pulses to an original synthwave soundtrack by Van Reeves and Joe Kataldo, cranking every snatch and kill up to eleven. Trouble doesn’t like to travel alone, though—you can team up with a friend in local two-player co-op and double the carnage as you carve your path to total human annihilation.
