Mindustry is a resource-focused strategy game that blends factory construction, tower defense and real-time strategy into one seamless experience. You begin by harvesting basic materials and then design intricate conveyor networks to move ores, liquids and power to your production facilities. As you unlock advanced blocks, you’ll refine raw resources into missiles, shields and even robotic units—using coolant, lubricant and other support systems to keep everything running at peak efficiency.
When hostile forces attack, your factories become the front line. You’ll need to funnel ammunition, energy and defensive fluids into turrets, regeneration projectors and powered shields to hold back relentless waves of ground troops, flyers and specialized enemy types. Smart placement of defensive structures and well-timed upgrades can mean the difference between a handful of damaged blocks and a total factory collapse.
Offense is just as important as defense. Build assembly lines that crank out mech drones, tanks and flying ships, then send them forth to capture nearby enemy outposts. Securing new territory lets you deploy additional cores, gain fresh resource deposits and expand your industrial footprint. In both skirmish and PvP matches, coordinating attacks, reinforcing supply lines and adapting to dynamically changing fronts are essential skills.
Mindustry offers a sprawling single-player campaign with two planetary story arcs, hundreds of handcrafted maps and over 250 procedurally generated sectors. You’ll juggle resource distribution between sectors, research more than 250 different tech blocks, and defend against periodic invasions—all while earning achievements across more than 80 challenges. Every mission can be tackled solo or in cross-platform co-op, and if that isn’t enough, a built-in map editor and Steam Workshop support let you share custom maps, schematics and mods.
