In the new Campaign mode you step into the shoes of your own custom commander. Every playthrough is procedurally generated and can end in multiple ways. You’ll juggle base building and upgrades on the planetary surface, field requests from rival factions to shape your reputation, and guard vital relay stations—your only link home.

On the tactical front, squad management runs deep. There’s no rigid class system—instead you unlock a wide array of passive skills and tailor each operative’s loadout. Choose from melee weapons, firearms with specialized ammunition, hacking tools, mines, turrets, armor and weapon upgrades—hundreds of combinations let you define your own combat style.

Battles take place on fully interactive, destructible maps. Erect barricades, seal or blast through walls, trigger environmental hazards or set traps to outwit foes—just watch out, enemies can do the same to you.
