In the god-simulation aspect of the game, you control a tribe of dwarves by directing them to dig, attack enemies, and construct buildings. As a sandbox game, each level features multiple layers of earth to explore, from the sky to subterranean lava. The levels are randomly generated islands with natural boundaries like oceans, lava, and the sky. The game includes day and night cycles and changing weather conditions. Each world varies in size, humidity, temperature, terrain, and flora and fauna, with hidden treasures and abandoned halls to discover.

The tower defense element involves defending against waves of monsters that emerge from portals. Building a secure fortress with strong walls, trapdoors, firing towers, and secret passageways is crucial for survival.

As a divine being, you have access to various spells. You can speed up dwarf movement, open portals, illuminate caves, summon natural magic, cast fireballs, and uncover resources and hidden rooms. These abilities help accelerate resource gathering, exploration, and the growth of your dwarf population.
