Berserk Mode is a fast-paced, run-based first-person shooter that fuses classic rogue-lite mechanics with over-the-top fantasy action. In this game, you race against the clock while fighting relentless waves of monsters using an arsenal that includes melee weapons, magic, and even your bare fists. Your health constantly drains, forcing you to keep moving and slay enemies to regain strength, while every defeated foe fills your berserk meter.

When that meter reaches its peak, you can unleash a transformation into a monstrous beast, giving you a temporary but powerful edge to crush your enemies. Before each dungeon zone—of which there are six per run—you have the chance to upgrade your loadout with a variety of weapons and powerful artifacts, all purchased with gold earned during your run. You can also take on risky curses that come with random debuffs but promise generous gold rewards.

Every playthrough lasts around 30 minutes and challenges you to reach a distant crystal at the end of each zone, with randomized layouts ensuring each run feels fresh. The game’s permadeath mode and escalating difficulty make every decision crucial, while leveling up between runs allows you to unlock new classes, beast forms, and artifacts to further shape your combat strategy.

Featuring hand-drawn pixel art, dynamic animations, and an immersive original soundtrack, Berserk Mode draws inspiration from classic shooters and rogue-lite titles like Post Void, Noita, and the early Doom series.
