Players can choose from a colorful cast of heroes, each with their own unique abilities. For example, Luna, the shadow archer, glides unseen through the dungeon while slowing foes with her frost arrows; Drake, the unhinged pyromancer, brings fire and fury with deadly summons like meteor golems; and Albert, the dreamy unicorn prince, dazzles enemies with his fairy blasts and charms monsters into fighting by his side. Every hero evolves during the match, gaining new powers and snatching up powerful items to help secure victory.

The game features several exciting modes. In Tournament mode, teams of two face off in quick, two-minute rounds where the objective is to claim three round victories by dominating challenges like securing the deadly Witches Eye or herding chickens in the zany Chicken Chase. For those who prefer a free-for-all approach, every round presents a new quest objective that rewards swift and strategic play.

If battling human opponents isn’t enough, Dungeon League offers additional challenges in the Gauntlet mode—a procedurally generated death labyrinth where every run is unique, with randomized layouts, monsters, and loot. For an extra competitive edge, Daily Dungeon mode lets you and other players tackle the same dungeon with one chance each, with global leaderboards crowning the master of the day.

Between matches, the Dugout serves as the hub for character progression. Here, heroes gain experience and level up by completing quests and slaying monsters. New skills can be learned from the trainers, and gold can be spent on over 70 unique and powerful items in Zug’s shop. There’s also a collection of persistent unlockables such as cool trinkets, custom cursors, gravestones, and a wide array of in-game emotes to taunt your foes.
