Portal Knights is a cooperative 3D sandbox action-RPG that blends exploration, crafting, building and real-time combat across dozens of randomly generated island worlds. After the realm was torn apart by the Fracture and threatened by the Hollow King, you step in as a Portal Knight: level up your hero, craft weapons and armor, learn new talents, and tackle dungeons, caves and open biomes filled with resources and surprises.

Gameplay mixes class-based progression with creative freedom. Choose a Warrior, Mage or Ranger, customize appearance and abilities, then experiment with weapons, spells and special skills to exploit enemy weaknesses in tactical, real-time fights. Use mysterious portals to hop between floating islands, collect materials, complete quests, and face powerful boss creatures (the Greatbeasts). Build almost anything-from functional bases to impressive castles on private islands-place NPCs and furnishings, or switch to Creative Mode to design and share creations with friends.

Portal Knights supports local split-screen and online co-op for up to 4 players, making teamwork rewarding when exploring dangerous dungeons or constructing sprawling settlements. Random events and changing landscapes keep the adventure fresh, while quests and unique rewards provide long-term goals. Overall, it's a charming mix of action, progression and player-driven creativity suitable for solo and group play.
