Subsistence - is a sandbox, first-person, open-world survival game that can be played solo or in co-op PvE mode. In this game, you face a hostile environment with changing seasons as you struggle to survive. Build and upgrade your base while developing technology and gearing up to take on the challenges that nature and enemies present. You must defend yourself against wildlife, the elements, and AI hunters who also construct their own bases around the world.

In Subsistence, progress is achieved by upgrading your base technology, which unlocks advanced crafting recipes and equipment upgrades. You can farm crops, fish, raise small animals, and gather and refine resources to establish dominance in an unforgiving landscape. Defending your base from persistent hunter attacks and even raiding their strongholds to claim valuable loot adds an aggressive edge to the gameplay.

The game features a robust crafting system, dynamic base building, and realistic seasonal and weather cycles. It incorporates a day-night cycle where temperature variations depend on both time-of-day and altitude, challenging players to manage hunger, thirst, strength, and the effects of environmental hazards. Additionally, there’s an intricate weapon upgrade system, mining and refining mechanics, animal husbandry, and cooking, all integrated into a world where every decision impacts your survival.

Subsistence is designed for players who enjoy resource gathering, strategic base management, and hands-on combat in a richly detailed, open-world setting.
