The Axis Unseen v1.11

The Axis Unseen is a heavy-metal horror adventure from one of the original creators behind Skyrim and Fallout. In this mysterious open world you’ll hunt creatures drawn from ancient folklore, using upgraded senses, elemental arrows and arcane powers. Nearly every bit of UI appears in the environment itself—your bow displays noise level, visibility and magic, tattoos on your hand glow to show health and active abilities, and your quiver holds the arrows you’ve gathered.

When you arrive, your entire Hunter village lies in ruins, slaughtered by the very monsters you now must track down. The hunter becomes the hunted as you follow blood trails and footprints, mind the wind so they won’t catch your scent, and choose between silent stealth or all-out action. You can adjust difficulty on the fly, switch to a pacifist camera mode where you photograph beasts instead of slaying them, or test yourself in permadeath.
Immerse yourself in a world where every sense can be enhanced: see scent particles on the breeze, feel the warmth of a creature’s trail, and perceive colors unknown to humans. Upgrade your bow with special arrows—fire that spreads faster in strong winds, bursts that distort time, or gust-launching wind arrows—and combine effects to discover powerful synergies.
Your safe haven, the Lodge, grows as you explore. Each new creature defeated, power unlocked or map fragment found earns you sculptures and a detailed 3D world map. From here you can fast-travel seamlessly without opening menus. Scavenge journals left by earlier Hunters to piece together what unleashed these monsters and how you might stop them from spilling into our world. Along the way you’ll create your own entries and sketches, documenting your discoveries.
The Axis Unseen’s soundtrack is by Clifford Meyer (formerly of ISIS and Red Sparowes), fusing primitive instruments with intense metal riffs that shift dynamically with your journey. Developed by Nate Purkeypile—whose 20-plus year résumé includes Skyrim, Fallout 3/4/76, Starfield and Metroid Prime 3—this game delivers deep combat, immersive mechanics and a haunting atmosphere. You can download The Axis Unseen now and carry any progress from its free demo straight into the full experience.
