The game’s realistic sailing mechanics let newcomers choose an easy mode before advancing to more challenging wind and weather dynamics. You’ll chart a course with a compass and sundial, sketch your own maps via triangulation, then step up to a sextant for true oceanic exploration. Each procedurally generated world features clusters of islands—forested, rocky, mountainous or dotted with ponds—so no two playthroughs feel the same.
