Loddlenaut is an ocean cleanup adventure set on a vibrant alien planet. In the game, you step into the shoes of an interstellar custodian tasked with cleaning up the pollution left behind by a sprawling spacefaring mega-corporation. You’ll explore an expansive, open-world environment filled with murky waters, oil spills, and scattered debris—remnants of a once-thriving corporate empire that left the planet GUP-14 in ruin.

Your mission is to restore GUP-14 to its former glory. As you venture through sunken corporate ruins, you’ll uncover clues about the planet’s forgotten past while utilizing an array of high-tech gadgets. Whether you’re blasting away sticky goop with your trusty bubble gun or recycling collected trash to craft useful items and upgrades, every action helps revive the planet’s lush ecosystems.

Throughout your journey, you’ll encounter charming, axolotl-like aliens known as “loddles.” These aquatic critters not only add personality to the adventure but also play a crucial role in the environmental recovery of GUP-14. By feeding them aquatic fruits, you help them grow and develop unique traits and abilities, making them better equipped to thrive in cleaner waters. When the loddles are strong enough, releasing them back into the wild will further enhance the planet’s natural beauty and biodiversity.

Recent updates have expanded the experience even further. The Goddles update introduces three new caves containing lost loddles with rare cosmetic mutations, as well as a secret biome called Goddle Grotto—home to three mythical Goddles. With the new gardening system, you can collect seedlings and nurture your own flora to boost each biome’s resistance to pollution. Additional features include a Global Pollution Tracker to monitor contaminants, an expanded backpack with the new Inventory Capacity Module, and milestones that unlock golden versions of your tools and a modified ending cutscene.

The Loddlepedia update makes tracking loddle evolutions easier, letting you see which traits and abilities you’ve discovered while introducing new personality traits, biome diversity ratings, and a fresh way to boost around the ocean.
