Hookah Haze is a narrative adventure set in the near future in the quiet outskirts of Akihabara. You take on the role of Toru Sumiki, the temporary manager of a newly opened hookah lounge. Faced with a terminal diagnosis that has drained his will to live, Toru heeds his doctor’s advice to embrace every moment and embarks on this unexpected new chapter.

In his role, Toru engages in deep, heartfelt conversations with several distinctive and complex women, each carrying her own struggles and secrets. There’s Amu Aigami, an attention-seeking café employee who adores being pampered; Kokoro Meigetsuin, a polite and intelligent store clerk who hides the scars of her past; and Kurumi Komori, a headstrong doll-maker who isn’t the best at expressing herself. Through these interactions, you gradually unravel their personal stories and observe subtle changes within your own heart.

The game offers around 10 hours of gameplay where every heroine’s narrative evolves with the choices you make, leading to multiple endings for each character. Recommendations shared on social media can even influence which characters visit your lounge, adding an extra layer of variability. Achieving the happy endings for all three heroines not only brings satisfaction but also unlocks additional story elements, deepening the mystery behind their lives.

A demo version lets you experience two days inside the lounge, where the outcome shifts based on which patrons show up. While the demo’s progress doesn’t carry over into the full game, the complete version features a special “ANOTHER DAY” option that lets you relive similar unique moments.
