In Taur, you control the Prime Cannon, a powerful weapon equipped with both primary and secondary firing capabilities. As you progress, you can unlock and upgrade a variety of weapons and abilities to gain an edge in battle. The game allows you to build and expand your defenses using resources obtained from secured war zones, constructing auto-turrets, droids, aircraft, and more.

The environment in Taur is fully destructible, which can provide tactical advantages or disadvantages during battles. You'll need to strategically plan your defenses against various types of attacks, including full-scale invasions, air raids, tank sieges, and infantry skyfall attacks. Your ultimate goal is to defeat the massive armies of the Imperion, a galactic droid empire.

The campaign in Taur revolves around preventing the planet of Taurea, home to the Tauron droids, from falling into the hands of the Imperion. Control of the planet shifts based on your success in battle, and losing full control results in a failed campaign. You can only deploy to one war zone per day, so choosing wisely is crucial as abandoned zones may lead to loss of control and resources.

Resources gained from war zones are used to build new structures, reforge weapons, and research new technologies. The Forge allows you to enhance the quality and damage of your Prime Cannon weapons, while research unlocks new tech for use in battle. To win the war and complete the campaign, you must find a way to defeat the powerful Imperion Overlord.
