In FatalZone, players will face the challenge of surviving in a world devastated by a virus. They must eliminate waves of zombies and collect resources to support their survivor camp. The game allows players to fortify their camp and send mercenaries on dangerous expeditions, all in the name of saving humanity.

Players can take risks on deadly runs to create the most effective character builds and unlock new skills and characters. As mercenaries level up on the battlefield, they can gain new skill combinations back at the camp. The more missions completed, the more experienced the mercenaries become, but they remain mortal.

The game also involves developing the survivor camp to unlock various buffs. Players can upgrade mercenary skills in the Training Hall, recruit new mercenaries at the Mercenary Base, and enhance weapons and armor in the workshop. Improved buildings increase the chances of survival.

During missions, mercenaries are exposed to the virus, which affects their physical state and can lead to mutations that may be beneficial or harmful. Players can experiment to create the most effective fighters.

If overwhelmed by zombies, players have the option to evacuate and end the mission early, ensuring they live to fight another day. The goal is to reach the evacuation helicopter in time.
