Space Jammers v0.465 - early access

Space Jammers is an engaging 1-4 player sci-fi rogue-like top-down shooter that invites players to guide an alien rock band of space kitten pirates through a fractured multiverse. The game combines elements of space exploration, combat, and music as players fly starfighters, board spaceships, and loot local populations to fund their intergalactic musical tour. The ultimate goal is to navigate your band of aliens to the center of the galaxy in time to compete in the Galactic Battle of Bands and claim the title of kings of rock.

One of the standout features of Space Jammers is its Twitch integration, allowing streamers to engage their audience by letting viewers influence gameplay through chat commands, reminiscent of the "Twitch Plays Pokémon" phenomenon. The game supports single-screen local co-op for up to four players, encouraging teamwork as players can revive fallen comrades and strategize together.

The procedurally generated galaxy offers endless exploration opportunities via an overworld map, with random level generation ensuring that no two playthroughs are the same. Players can enjoy a variety of gameplay elements, including bullet time, leaderboards, and seasonal rewards. With over 30 weapons, 600 weapon and bullet combinations, and 20 items and character skills, there is plenty of customization and strategy involved. Players can level up their stats and abilities to better tackle the randomly generated bosses they encounter.

Space Jammers supports both keyboard/mouse and controller inputs, including Xbox, PlayStation, and USB/Bluetooth devices, making it accessible to a wide range of players. While the game currently offers local co-op, there is potential for online functionality if there is enough interest from the community.

The game is still in development, with most main mechanics implemented but not yet feature complete.
