Space Cats Tactics is a single-developer space opera that combines the relentless intensity of turn-based tactical battles with deep, narrative-rich storytelling. The game elegantly mixes two gameplay layers. On one hand, you engage in grid-based tactical combat reminiscent of titles like XCOM and Divinity: Original Sin, where every move and choice of weapon, ability, or consumable can decide the outcome of nerve-racking space battles. On the other hand, you manage your spaceship and its unique crew by zooming between the ongoing battle and your ship’s strategic layout, much like in FTL or Star Command Galaxies.
