The Long Dark is an immersive exploration-survival game that places players in the harsh, frozen wilderness of Northern Canada following a geomagnetic disaster. Unlike many survival games, The Long Dark eschews fantastical elements like zombies, focusing instead on the realistic challenges of surviving in a brutal natural environment. Players must manage their hunger, thirst, fatigue, and cold while navigating a vast 50+ square kilometer landscape filled with wildlife and scarce resources.
